SCAC is a Land Project!

Based in Oakland, California we seek to engage with urban public lands as a commons, using art and utility to build and expand a social, material, and mysterious relationship with the plants, humans, critters, and elements present. We are curious about how the practice of art-making in collaboration with the land can build human capacity to act as keystone species within the community of life. We see commoning as a potential ‘keystone’ human behavior.
